How to Cook 30-Minute Ribs on the Grill – Easy & Delicious!

Hey there, folks! Today, I’m sharing a quick and easy way to grill up some tasty ribs in just 30 minutes. If you love barbecue but don’t want to spend hours smoking or slow-cooking, this method is perfect for you. Let’s get grilling!

Prepping the Ribs

For this cook, I’m using pork St. Louis-style spare ribs. These are trimmed down a bit compared to regular spare ribs, making them a great size for grilling. You could also use baby back ribs if that’s what you have on hand.

Since I don’t need a full rack, I’m cutting these into individual ribs. If your ribs have a membrane on the back, you can remove it, but these have already come trimmed. Once they’re cut, it’s time to season them up!

Seasoning for Maximum Flavor

A good dry rub is key to getting flavorful ribs. I’m using a BBQ rub that adds a little citrusy tang and a great color to the meat. Just sprinkle it on generously and make sure each rib is well coated. That’s all the prep—time to fire up the grill!

Grilling the Ribs

After preheating the grill for a few minutes, I set the heat to medium and place the ribs on, spacing them out evenly. If you’re cooking a full rack, you can squeeze them together a bit more, but I like giving them a little room.

After about 7 minutes, I check on them and flip them over. Some areas of the grill tend to cook hotter than others, so I move the ribs around to help them cook evenly. Just keep an eye on them, flipping and rotating as needed.

After about 30 minutes, the ribs are looking great! I turn the heat down low and brush on some mild BBQ sauce for that extra flavor. Let them cook just a few more minutes to let the sauce set, and then they’re ready to eat!

Taste Test!

These ribs turn out juicy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of bite. If you want fall-off-the-bone ribs, you’ll need to cook them low and slow, but for a quick 30-minute meal, these hit the spot.
